Leapin’ Lizards Leap Year Party
House of Neighborly Service celebrated Leap Year with the Leapin’Lizards Leap Year Party on February 29, 2008. Over 340 people attended this fabulous event which was held at the El Tropicano Hotel in downtown San Antonio. The dining area was decorated with art panels of colorful lizards designed by Eric Martinez and hand painted by a team of talented volunteers. The evening entertainment included live music by the Hipnotics and a performance of a famous Nicaraguan dance by entertainers from Nicaragua and San Antonio. Over the course of the evening, participants bid on over 250 items in the Silent and Live Auctions. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed live music and danced late into the night. We thank those who participated in this wonderful event and helped raise funds to support the different HNS programs. Mark your calendars for next year, we are already planning another great evening!
